Flow Metrics

Flow Metrics

Transform your Jira data into actionable delivery insights.

Flow Metrics is a suite of self-hosted tools that help engineering teams understand their delivery performance, forecast completion dates with confidence, and make data-driven decisions. All processing happens locally on your infrastructure, so your data never leaves your control.

Choose Your Product

Product Description
Flow Metrics Server The interactive web app: type a Jira/ADO query in the browser and see cycle time, throughput, WIP and the workflow board live. One container, set up entirely in the browser.
Lean Flow Metrics The command-line tool: one self-contained CLI that extracts flow metrics from Jira and Azure DevOps, driven by a dataset config. Built for scripting and CI.
Shipcast Forecasting and analytics service with a modern web interface. Predict delivery dates using Monte Carlo simulations and track your team’s flow efficiency.

Each product has its own documentation with step-by-step setup instructions.

Retired

Actionable Metrics is retired and no longer receives updates. It has been replaced by two tools that split its job:

If you used Actionable Metrics for… Use instead
Looking at your metrics Flow Metrics Server — no config file, just a query
Scripted or scheduled exports Lean Flow Metrics — a CLI built for CI

Both are faster, support Azure DevOps as well as Jira, and share one config format. Existing Actionable Metrics installations keep working; its documentation stays available for reference.
